Common questions about EdTech & education software

Moodle and similar open-source LMS platforms work well for standard requirements. Custom development pays off when you need specific learning-path logic, deep integration with existing HR/ERP systems, unrestricted branding, very specific reporting requirements or a scalable SaaS platform for external customers. We advise you honestly on the best approach.

SCORM (up to version 2004) is the classic standard for e-learning content: it defines how courses communicate with an LMS and transfer progress data. xAPI (Tin Can API) is the more modern successor and far more flexible: it can capture learning experiences from any source (apps, simulations, real-world activities) and enables richer learning analytics. We implement both standards as needed.

Adaptive learning paths dynamically adjust content to each user’s knowledge level and progress. AI algorithms analyze what a learner has mastered and where gaps remain, then recommend the right next steps. That reduces frustration from being under- or overchallenged and demonstrably improves outcomes. Technically we rely on Bayesian knowledge models or neural networks.

Learning data of minors is subject to special protection (GDPR Art. 8, state school laws). We implement strict data minimization, no sharing with third parties without explicit guardian consent, local storage on German servers and anonymized analytics. All systems are designed in line with KMK recommendations and school legislation.

Yes. We integrate LMS platforms via SCIM (user provisioning), SAML/SSO (single sign-on) and REST APIs into common HR systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Personio or Active Directory. Employees do not need to register separately, learning progress flows automatically into the personnel record and compliance training is documented automatically.
